Savor Spanish Seafood at Del Mar de Fabio Trabocchi
May 28, 2019Fabio Trabocchi and wife Maria pay homage to the latter’s heritage at Del Mar de Fabio Trabocchi. The menu relies heavily on Maria’s Spanish background and her family’s culinary traditions. Her family is from Mallorca, an island known for its fresh seafood; needless to say, Del Mar (literally “from the sea”), offers ample amounts of seafood.
The menu encompasses seafood tapas, raw bar dishes, charcoal-grilled fish, and, of course, paella. Stop in for dinner to enjoy something from the Cadiz-inspired raw bar, like the oysters embellished with escabeche dressing or the mussels marinated in a saffron seasoning. You can also share tapas such as grilled wild squid or piquillo peppers stuffed with jumbo lump crab and smothered with sea urchin sauce. If you come in a big group, dig into one of the shareable paellas like the paella de pescado y marisco, loaded with Maine lobster, wild calamari, PEI mussels, and tiger prawns.
