Catch a Movie Under the Stars at Georgetown’s Sunset Cinema

It’s a sleepy Tuesday, and a beautiful night at that, but what’s to do? Check out Georgetown’s Sunset Cinema for a relaxed evening under the stars. On Tuesdays in July (and one August date), enjoy a feature presentation on the Waterfront Park lawn. There will be food trucks on hand and plenty of space to stretch out on a blanket to watch the show with the picturesque sunset and DC skyline in the backdrop. This year’s theme is Out of Office, and all of the movies feature a vacation or trip. 

The schedule includes Under the Tuscan Sun on July 9, The Sandlot on July 16, Little Miss Sunshine on July 23, The Parent Trap (1998 version) on July 30, and Eat Pray Love on August 6. The movie begins around 8:30 p.m., but plan on getting there early to find the perfect spot on the lawn. You can even make a night of it with nearby eateries SUNdeVICH, SweetGreen, and more just a block away for grab and go eats. No tickets or registration is required for this free event. Just bring your blanket and enjoy the show!
