Save the Date for the DC World Reggae Festival on Aug. 18
July 25, 2019The DC World Reggae Festival is set for Sunday, August 18, and promises to be so much more than just a summer concert. Sure, there will be tons of performances by the hottest reggae artists and music that crosses genres for a day-long celebration. But there will also be plenty of great food (Caribbean Jerk, of course, along with American and international cuisine), premium drinks, local art, and a kids’ activity zone.
Come out and make a day of experiencing the music and culture associated with roots reggae. Doors open at noon and the music doesn’t stop until the final set by Chronnix at 9:30 p.m. This year’s festival returns to The Robert F. Kennedy Stadium, and will premiere a debut theme “The Wise Men” to promote love, unity, and awareness. General admission tickets are $69.99 in advance ($99.99 at the door), and VIP ticket packages with food and merchandise are also available. Don’t miss this yearly celebration of Jamaican heritage and everlasting music!
