ZooLights at the National Zoo: A Holiday Tradition Returns Near Trellis House
December 17, 2019The Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute presents its seasonal event Zoolights. This free admission event runs from November 29th, 2019 – January 1st, 2020. Check the website for deals on parking and access to free guest shuttles.
Thousands of visitors tread through this annual holiday tradition which includes winter treats, live music performances (full schedule on website), and holiday shopping. This year features new events, such as Entre Les Rangs, A Luminous Field of Lights and animal lanterns. Coming back are two laser light shows set to music and zootubes. Find out more about rides and their prices on the website. The Grump market will return this year with their traditional European-style gifts for those of all ages. They are expected from December 6th-8th.
